Sounds yummy - we tried stuff like that but it attracts way to many bullheads
Sweet tooth Catfish Bait
2 cups Cornmeal
3 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 pkg Strawberry Gelatin
1 tbsp Vanilla
2 cups Water
1 bag marshmallows
1) - pour all ingredients into a large bowl, mixing until dissolved.
2) - cook over a low flame, stirring constantly.
3) - while stirring, slowly add Marshmallows.
4) - continue until batch is sticky as glue & too thick to stir.
5) - wrap in wax paper, clean the kitchen, then get your butt to the river.
6) - use strong line, put on a slip sinker then tie on a stout hook.
7) - pinch on a piece of shot ~ 12" above hook (as a stop for the slip sinker). 8) - break off a hunk of the bait & mold it fully around hook.
9) - cast out & get ready for some hot & heavy action!

I go after Bullheads more than Catfish ...
the Channel Cats most of them up here come out of the Susky ... thou occasionally you will find them in a Pond where someone has put one

Mike:
If you want bullheads, put three or four earthworms on a fish finder rig with a size 1/0 bait holder hook - We can catch them all night long - slimy bastards!
ya so true ....
When I go after them I use nightcrawlers ... I usually give my catch to some eldery people in the area ... they are thrilled with them ....
I think its because they know im the one that gets Horned .... LoL

U mean its alright if u but?
It sounds that your bait could also be used to catch carp.Have you ever caught any carp on it?
Yes, it does sound like a carp bait recipe. Probably good for some channel catfish also!
Fishing is a lifestyle.....Don't ever forget that!
