Grundens are good. Can't knock those. That's what I use for Alaska fishing (the lodge provided them).

I had an Oilskins jacket that the inner lining dried out and peel off. I'll never buy one of those again.

We have a pretty mild climate (Southern California). I bought a rain suit (pants/jacket) from Cabella's a few years ago. It rolls up really small so I can pack it along when there's only a chance of rain. An occasional spritz of ScotchGuard keeps it waterproof, in spite of repeated washings. It's also great to have along as a windbreak, if the wind is a little cold...
