So, i have got some PMs questioning the real bait im using for the surf fishes, no it aint social security cards! lol, im just playing!!! so i must come clean, it aint sand crabs, last year i had a real bad time trying to catch corbina with any kind of bait,..so this year in the beginning i was catching them with ghost shrimp, caught quite a few, but since its a drive and some money to purchase that bait i had to look for an alternative bait, something at our beaches, maybe mussels from the jetties? too far to walk and i dont like to get wet, stealing clams from my work? na, if i get caught there goes my job, so maybe i'll just do the old "net a bunch of SC's and pick out the softies with roe"!
wait, there is one more thing, over my years of fishing the beaches, i've always notice some people here and there digging in the sand getting some worms, about a month or two ago i was digging near the jetty for the SC's when i got alot of these worms, hhmmm, maybe i'll try them another time, so here comes 4th of july, another day of perch and no beans, but we see a dude just wacking them left and right, earlier i saw him digging for the worms,..got a little info from him and ever since then i have been catching alot of beans, along with my buddy Ron (paintnfish), we have been working the beaches making bait and catching some nice beans! well you guys have seen the reports, so heres a little help on getting these worms:

you can only find them during the low tide, at high tide you can find a few, but they are in the middle of the low and highest tide mark, wet sand is where you'll find them, use a good shovel and prepare to do alot of digging, i like to make a nice hole and start slicing at the sides, they will be hanging off these walls! now hurry and swoop them up quick! these worms are fast, becareful not to pull them hard, they rip easy,..

easy to put on a hook, size 6 or 4 mosquito hooks only! i like to put two on each hook, fish love to attack a couple doing it! lol, i dont have the science to back that up,..just thread them into the hook, they last long on a hook or until the fish just rip into them!

they last several days in a jar or any plastic container, make sure it stays damp and cold, less than room temp,. top it off with a little bit of saltwater daily,..

now, go out and try to get em, i want to see some reports of peeps using this bait, it will increase your catch numbers or if you want to stick with SC's thats cool, just give the worms a try, maybe you'll switch up, but the digging is a bytch! you'll see what i mean,..
