Fishing competition 2
Here are a few of the photos which we took of the fishing competition last weekend in Doohoma Ireland. This is a memorial event called the Masterson memorial, run every year as part of a local festival week in the area. There were all of four or five boats plus ours/my sons. And we fished off Achill Island and Sadle head County Mayo. There are minor prizes for heaviest fish (which was won with a ten pound cod) sorry no photo of that one. And heaviest bag of fish, I think that was in the region of sixty eight pounds of fish. (We actually had about 53pounds) Plus the species prize which went to someone with eight different spieces on the day. They were: Pollack, Mackerel, Red Gurnard, Seabass, Cod, Whiting, Ling, and Coley.
The photos 1 A good Pollock for myself of around seven pounds. 2 My grandson with his six and a half pounder. 3 Some of the fish taken from our tub for the photo shoot. 4 My son at the wheel with yet another fish.
