Depends how you look at it, and what country you are from. I can't answer for people in europe..but here in the States..Sea Trout is a common fish in southern waters and is there cousin the Weakfish in Northern waters, both saltwater fish. Brown trout as well as Rainbow and Brook trout DO migrate to saltwater to return to fresh to spawn..for instance a "SteelHead" is a rainbow trout which migrated to Saltwater or one of the great lakes
