Depends on what you are using. If you use a small spinner like a Rooster Tail or a small Mepps, keep it moving.You said you are using powerbait. Let it sit there under a bobber. The depth depends on the depth of the water and where the fish are. You may need to move the depth around to find where the fish are sitting at.
