With Power Bait, ya' just simply cast it out and let her set. A slider weight rig is the best way (line goes through hole in weight which when fish picks it up they'll not feel the weight of sinker), however simple split shot will do the trick, by the way Power Bait floats so she'll be off the bottom. I usually stick with 18" leaders (goin' to depend on how deep this pond be?) and say size #'s 8 or 10 hooks. Good luck to ya' and "Trout On"
