Thumbs up Fishing so far!

Only been here a little over a month and got hooked up with a dedicated fisherman (Mike) from about the first week. We've been every weekend so far (usually 2X a weekend) except for one weekend that the small craft advisories drove us back in!
Been to South point and all the others even though we took a bit of a beating from the seas, still got a bruise from last weekend. We've been lucky with the wahoo and mahi-mahi. What we've really been looking for is the big tuna! Mike has actually caught three sailfish here so far and I bet before he leaves that number will be higher. The sharks are out as well. We've been lucky so far with not getting our catch chomped, others have not faired so well.
I've only run into 1 stubborn captain here but even he did everything right when it came down to the actual fishing.
As far as an LCM... haven't done one of those yet. Been too much fun on the ocean masters so far. The one day we did stop off South to bottom bottom fish, it was hot, I had been drinking the night before, boat started rolling..... well, I didn't lose my lunch but I did turn green!!! That day was a slow one and it consisted of 2 good sized wahoo's, some sweet lips and a couple of nice sized groupers for the whole boat.
So right now wahoo, dorado and tuna (both yellow and skipjack) seem to be running with the occasional barracuda.
I fear this place is going to ruin me, cheap charters and great fishing day in and day out!
So, time to get some coffee, put on some good sunscreen and head on down to the marina and go again!

Smooth seas to all!
Dean

We did however have a sailfish trailing our boat one time, but that was the closest I can to anything but a wahoo or yellow fin!

The five pole hookups are always fun for yellowfin!

Seems like the boat captains there only know one way to fish though. And they get stubborn when you tell them to do something out of the norm! Just my 2 cents!

What have you been catching there lately? Any LCM trips?
