just checked the Ice for tues and it looks good for western maine. 6+ inches where i like to go in western mountains. went by shaker and there was at least 20 people out after pike! no ice on sebago, and bait looks hard to come by. at least smelt seem hard to come by. make sure you test your ice, especially this year since it is gray ice from the snow. i didn't find any black ice on any pond and noticed that there were no snowmobile tracks. that is unusual on 6 inches of ice. am thinking they don't trust the gray ice yet. which is most likely a very good idea (FLAG!)
