Of the reels out there .... which one would you guys recommend thats user friendly ? and dont cost an arm and a leg .... I was using a Revo STX .... and I am practing with a Quantum (dont remember the model i think its an accurist or accurist pt) .... thanks for any replies in advance mike |

Well the best baitcaster for the money is probably the BPS Extreme reel. It was my first and is my favorite 2 years later. The revo STX is a sweet reel, but for beginners, probably not the best as it needs some experiance to cast it.
Bass Pro Shops Extreme Baitcast Reels The new models are 80 bucks, but you can get last years for 50 and they are just as good IMO. tb

well the first one i learned on happens to be the same brand i use now and its quantum 1310 I have a diawa triforce that seem like it was cheaply made. Another reel i have tried and liked is an abu garcia ambassador. But its kinda hard to help someone pick out a reel. You just need to hold a few and pick one that u feel fits your hand and works well.

I may never get around to this , I just wanted to know which reel you guys thought was easier to operate .... the more and more I learn about Baitcasters is that I would have to carry in alot more gear to fish ... as your
only supposed to use up to certain size of lures ... well I like to throw all kinds of sizes ... from small to big ... you name it ... I throw different sizes because I like to mix it up .... so i may just stay with my Spinning rods and reels .... thanks for the reply thou ... mike |
