Default Can someone here recommend a good line

For a New MH Spinning outfit ?

I have been using Stren Dura Tuf 12 lb Test .... but for my New Rod and Reel i will get for my birthday I want to use a different kind ....

What would you guys recommend ?

I have heard some good things about Vicious but I dont know if the store stocks where im going .... I would like to try Calcutta , but that might be hard to find as well ....

I fish farm ponds that have lots of structure .... any thoughts or ideas are welcome ... thanks in advance

mike

Mike,

Lately my line of preference has been McCoy Mean Green Xtreme. It has it little or no memory, doesn't seem to get nicked as much, and it has great knot strength.

Mike - I would use 10 pound test Power Pro with a 18" 20 lb floro leader - this works really well especially if you throw a lot of weightless soft plastics. The leader help with the sink rate on the plastics and plus give me confidence that the line is certainly less visible.

I love the braids - no memory, they last forever and you do not even have to worry about twist.
