Default 7/9/07 Bass Trips ....

went out this morning early to one of my favorite ponds ....

fished the Bank for about 30 minutes and only had 1 bite ... so I picked up my gear and went to the row boat ....

I got loaded up and rowed out trying to find any fish that would bite ...
I didnt get many Keepers .... only 1 of legal size ..... I did get fish but very small ones .... fish avg. 4 inches up to about 10 inches .... I got a total of 10 fish all together .... only kept the 1 keeper .... hoping to get out once more before the week is out ....

to bad this Heat moved in .... it was easier fishing in the Cooler temps we had for the last few weeks ....

When the heat wave ends the fishing will pick up big time. Fish right before the next low pressure front comes in and you'll hammer them.

Low and slow in the hot weather Mike. Also, Lm bass will be looking for shade - under trees, weed beds and structure. Go early in the AM to beat the heat and find a few fish roaming around

thats the ticket david ....

I tried topwater first thing yesterday but I didnt get any takers ... I didnt start getting any hits till I threw out Wacky Rigged senko type baits ... then they even went cold on this .... I switched out to a Rat L Trap and caught a few more .....

it wasnt a bad day ... just nothing to brag about .... I hope to head out again at least 1 more time this week .... hopefully will have some pics to share then ....

I do most of my fishing early in the morning ... like the Bass I dont like the Heat .... its very hard on me now ....

Anyhow ... the season has been good , much better than last .... so I wont complain ....

I hope you guys seasons are going just as good ....

talk to you soon
