Fishing 08-24-08

Well we went fishing yesterday morning took along a friend of mine oh joy oh joy (sarcasam there for those that dont know me) Well we get to the lake get the boat in and start trolling ok for some reason the motor aint running as good as per normal but at least the water pump is doing its job this time. wife hooks a small bow have to keep it due to its bleeding. well no more hits for the next two miles of trolling up lake and the fish finder was full of fish. Well we reel in and go way up lake untill its a river turn around and start trolling back wife slams 4 fish on the way back she is now at her limit 5 trout per person per day ok so she keeps fishing since no one else has caught any. Well Matt nails one about 1.5 pounds not bad. But that was the last for him and I never got any go figure. (seems like everytime I take someone along I dont catch anything) well wife caught 4 more lol so we now have 2 limits on board then the wife hooks into a nice one (we all thought it was moby dick) she had to hand the pole over to me she couldnt hold it anymore I saw a huge fish couldnt tell much other then it was freaking huge get it in Matt nets it pulls it in over the side 11pounds 6.38 ounces freaking CARP!! I hate carps. This is the first time I ever seen or heard of a carp taking a trolling rig ever. Since they are like cats bottom feeders it shocked me and everyone else. So after doing a weigh in we were going to toss it overboard but some guy there who wasnt catching anything wanted it so we gave it to him (yuk gross ) so needless to say we got rid of another pos garbage fish from the lake we love so much. Well we start heading back towards the dock we have 2 miles or so to go so we are still trolling water is getting a good chop normally the bite turns off at this time well needless to say the wife nails 3 more nice bows did Matt or me?? HECK NO!! I quit!! I aint takeing Matt or my wife fishing again!! I catch them by the tons with just me or her but I aint taking Matt ever again he is a bad luck piece lol. So we gave Matt a limit to take home and we took home 8. Gave 3 to my buddy Otto like I always do on our way home tired to give him 4 but he said 3 is fine. Over all had a decent day with the exception I had to listen to guess I need to teach you boys how to fish all the way home and up untill bedtime. HMMM maybe thats why I went to bed at 6pm I got tired of litening to her BS of gotta teach you guys how to fish. WOMEN!!! Sheesh!! I did remind her I am the one who taught her to fish for trout though lotta good it did I still had to listen to I guess I need to teach you boys how to fish. Ok I figured I bored yall enough for the day.

Well Mutt sounds like the wife had a good time. my wife dosent fish
some times she will go with me And set read a book .

but as for the carp they do give a fight sounds like it wore the wife down
but as far eating them thats another story better luck next time.

Aint no way I would even clean one let alone cook one lol nasty nasty fish in my book. Fun to catch though.
