Some of you know me from 976-Tuna, all other people don't, so let me introduce myself. My name is Jimmy, and I'm 15 years old, and I've been fishing for the past 9 years. Fishing is my hobby and my passion, and I look forward to sharing my fishing experiences with you.
On Tuesday, I had the day off from school because of Rosh Hashannah. I booked on the Spitfire out of Redondo. Got in the car and drove th 40 minute drive south to Redondo Harbor, where we were met by John DeVore, who is the owner of the landing. He said they had 13 resos for the Spit, so I thought it was going to be a definite go. Come 6am, only 8 shows, so we didn't go out. Bummer! We waited another hour and a half for the Redondo Special. Loaded up, and left the dock at 7:30. First order of business was to troll on the way up to the sculpin grounds for a bonito. We did get a hook-up, and I wound it in, to my dismay. After that, we were locked and loaded for sculpin fishing. The sculpin fishing was wide open. Every single drop, and it was instantaneous. After a good hour and a half, we limited out. We headed inside for some bass fishing. The fishing wasn't as good, but we did get some nice quality sand bass there, one caught by yours truly. Very good day of fishing. If you want some taco meat, now is the time to go out. Call the Redondo office at (310)-372-2111. With lite loads and good fishing, now is the time to go out!
