Sana Ana river lakes

hey there,
anyone here been to the santa ana river lakes recently,
i was thinking about going, my pole has been to dry the last couple of weeks

Yeah - We've been there. Some like it, some don't. I'm in the don't catagory. Corona Lake, owned by the same company is a better place to fish. That's where I caught the big trout in my picture. I assume you are looking to catch catfish, cause that is mostly what SARL plants this time of year. Irvine lake might be a better place to go. Fridays and Saturdays you get 20 hours of fishing for $20. The blue catfish are on fire right now. This is the one my husband caught last weekend.



Everyone on the boat caught one this size or larger.... except me ... well, I did catch a nice eating size flathead. Pretty good for the hour of fishing I put in for it.



I think if I stopped entertaining the fish and granting them final requests. I could have caught some more.
