Default I Tried....

I was signed up to try out a new boat out here out of 22nd Street Landing this weekend; The Outrider. It's another 50 foot Delta, set up for up to 10 passengers on an overnight.

But a pretty good blow came through. Winds to 35 kt., the waves were 7-9 ft. in the channel between LA and Catalina Island. And only two people signed up (including me) so they didn't go. What's wrong with people?

So, I made a quick trip down to the pier in Redondo. The waves were breaking up to the bottom of the pier, and coming over the stone breakwall that I had sat anchored next to last Friday night while my friends went lobster diving. What a differrence a week can make.

I wish I would have brought my camera with me. I haven't seen waves down there that big in quite a while.

Oh well. Maybe another day. Now it's time to start packing for my five day trip that leaves October 19. I'll have my camera with for that one for sure!!
