Chicken Livers work pretty good. Bluegills work great too both live and cut up.

I found fishing the ohio river and little miami river that fresh shad works the best. Cut shad works good along with cut and live small blue gills. These are usually netted before fishing. When I take my son and daughter we even use nightcrawlers and still catch some catfish, but with the nightcrawlers, it's a toss up on what you catch when fishing on the bottom. Chicken liver works ok, but usually have to change it out more frequently than live bait. My buddy uses dough balls and stink bait when fishing in a lake where the current doesn't deteriorate the bait. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the advice I been getting guys. But what i'm looking for is dough baits , stinks baits , dip baits. Its for a book i'm writing on homemade baits. Sooooo , with that said.... anybody got any ? I would be happy to put your bait in my book .... and I will also put your name, town your from, and if you wanna name it go ahead! I already got a publisher lined up! The sooner I get the amount of bait recipes I need, the sooner it will be in stores!

    Thanks for your help fellas,
    Brandon
