We went back to the local private lake where I've been spending nearly every weekend over the last year... hoping for some more action like last week with the blue cats.... but it was not to be.

We fished from shore this time and cooked up some of the trout left over in the freezer for dinner. Had a few beers and chatted with friends on the shore... but the cats didn't come out to play.

Amazingly enough... we went home with 12 catfish by the end of the night. Guess it was slow for most that night and no one wanted to clean the one or two smaller model channels they caught... I was more than happy to help out in the situation and took the opportunity to demonstrate some catfish filleting techniques for anyone interested.

Skunked and not complaining.

Beers , freinds and fishing .... it dont get much better than that ...
