Default Getting ready for bigger fish

The lakes have been low but I found a few spots to land flathead.

The fish this year have not been the size of fish we got last year.

I have several 40+ flathead but have really been looking for a 60.

I am hoping the low water is all that is holding me back

Maybe some rain from hurricanes will raise the lakes and cool the water.

That might spur the bigger fish to feed more.

Yes I am still using bluegills and Kahles

Normally the water gets warm and bluegills die easily
and I switch to goldfish. This year the gills have done well.

I have released these fish hoping they will provide future
generations of big fish. Maybe even grow some and bite
for me again.
