Seeing that no one has posted in the Mexico Fishing section.... I just had to be first.
I'm planning a trip to Cabo in September with a group of fishing folks from another fishing website. It will be my first trip of this kind in Mexican waters. I can hardly wait! ![]() |

I did two days of panga fishing out of Cabo a few years ago... was there right after a hurricane, we got limits of Dorado both days, to 35#. Also caught a few small bluefin tuna.
Good luck, but if you're going to try to get on a boat I'd say book early. Most of them want a deposit to hold a spot, don't take credit cards, and don't actually confirm your spot until your check clears. Get a recommendation on a boat from someone who's been there, or you may just end up going for a boat ride...

Thanks for the advise SH. Actually it is all completely booked in advance. The group does the trip every year. I need to start collecting my gear. I've never done this type of fishing before.... but I heard that the guys that take you out are really helpful. I'm really looking forward to the trip.
