San Jose Del Cabo Loking,..

So after so many years of fishing, i finally made it to my fishing mecca, Cabo, i have heard of so many great fishing stories from the place i had to get down there someday, well this past weekend was it, thanks to Duc Troung on making it happen, he puts together these events once a year, man did i have a great time, got down to cabo with some friends and many other peeps from the fishing sites and car clubs, about 60 in our group this year. I got a ride from Jikser and his wife Melissa, i was bunking with their buddy Dixie, cool azz dude,..i had some great company on the pangas, the NextfishingChamp and his wife Sharon,..

the first day we got there i hit the taco bar and drank away all the tecate i can, the only thing i was disappointed about the hotel that there was not a drop of Patron anywhere in that place! boo! I hit up the jetty with Nessie Hunter and his son for some jetty fishing, i got hooked into three 2 pound roosterfish, i never knew they jump out the water and that the rocks near the water were the most slimy and slippery rocks in the world, my foot got sliced up kinda bad and i almost hit my head on a jagged boulder, the fish shook off the krocs so no pics, next year im gonna bring a long net! first day was alright, order a bottle of El Jimador and got wasted,..

Day two. got a wake up call from jikser at 5am, man was my head bumping, damn i forgot to shave my head, i jumped up into the shower for a quick one, sliced my head pretty good, lol,..band aid time! we all grouped up in the lobby and taxi our way to the panga spot, we jumped on a super panga and headed out to one of the banks, not Gordo, i think its called eman banks, i dont know, you know what, i was pretty much wasted from day one until we left the hotel, so bare with me,..stared trolling for some wahoo, i dont know why, but we were, only one marauder got hit but no hook up, damn! i was the first one to put a fish on the boat, my first dorado! sweet! pretty much wide open on the dodos, then the black skipjacks showed up and killed it for us, we caught about a hundred of them, after awhile they get to be pest and work you hard. i fianlly put a chunk of skipjack on a hook and tossed it out to get my first YFT! booyah! not a biggie, but a yft for sure! i was stoked for the rest of the trip, did a little bottom fishing for only one snapper. Did some more trolling for nothing, finally we stopped and did some more fishing, i started to multi task, i flylined some live bait and dropped my bottom fishing rig, i hooked into something big down there that came off half way, damn! but them my clicker went off on the flyline, picked it up and started a hour and a half battle with a stripe marlin!!! woo hoo!!! it was jumping and giving me one hell of a battle!!! i was fighting it on 30 pound test with my Saltist 30t, man did i get worked, now heres where some peeps are gonna get mad, i kept the marlin, yes i did, now i said before i would release my first and i thought it was wrong for them to be killed, but that all changed and i am a new man today, i see where people will keep them, so if your gonna cry and ruin my thread pretty much F** OFF!!! if you got a problem send me a PM or make up your own thread and cry! after the fishing we wend back to the hotel and got wasted again at a little room party, good times!!!

day three. woke up with another hangover and whats the best thing for a hangover? more beer! had some cold ones on ice in the room so i started to pound some more! gya! got down to the lobby for some more panga fishing, pretty much everything was smoother this day, we were the first to launch and get some bait, but the sad thing was that today was also the slowest day for us, oh well, i did nail 5 dorados and more skippies, i did bottom fish for just one more snapper, a huge one too! never got a trigger or grouper, maybe next year. half the time we were trolling for the hoos, they were only biting the 16 doller jig that a hoo bit and ripped off a hook, but we didnt know for 2 hours cause we never pulled it in, they kept on hitting it alot! next year steve, bring only those jigs, it was a wahoo bomb i think, and replace that wire leader on it,...i hooked into one hoo, wow! they sure can run fast! i was surprised that he didnt bite me off, well its because he never got the chance because someone tighten the drag on my reel, all the way! it never pulled any line, the hook just popped off, weak! thats the only topwater fish i lost,..next year, aint no way in hell im gonna be trolling for any fish,..we got back to the motel, i didnt even have to wash up and take a nap cause it was like i went on a boat ride,..we ended that day with some great partying! we headed down to Cabo Sab Lucas and hit up one of the clubs, Squid Roe, man was it the shyt, we got wasted and some stupid waitress kept shoving jello shots in our mouths then making us pay for it, weak! we hit up one of those special clubs :wink: :wink: it got raided by the feds and we all got searched, oh man that was crazy, at about 3am it started to rain and it was still hot! the humidity was crazy, man im glad to be back home,..

day four, went to town with Nessie and his son, Granny fish and her hubby Mike, i had to do some tourist shopping, you know, gifts for the family,..we went to the town here, man everything was expensive, lol,..still managed to get the family some things, there was hardly any luchador masks for the kids, only for adults,.. got back to the hotel to pack up, we got out of there at about noon time for the long journey back,..man it was just crazy this year, im barely sobering up and cant remember half the shyt i did, im still pissing alcohol having some flashbacks of the nights of partying, i like to thank Jiker, Melissa and Dixie was the great company, thanks to Steve and Sharon for sharing a panga with me, it was good fishing with you guys again, sorry you didnt get your hoo buddy, maybe next year,..Frank and his son, man it was some good times man, i cant wait for next year! Eddie and Mikey, good times bro! have fun in conneticut, or however you spell that, catch some double digit bass brother! good seeing Mike and Granny fish down there, hope you found your digi cam, hit me up for some trout fishing someday. Greg and the high five guy, we got to hit up some clubs together again, you guys are the shyt! lol, you know what i mean!!! To Billy and his girl, you two are the craziest couple i've ever seen, hope to fish with you someday bud!
