The competition we fished in started at half past ten in the morning, so loaded with a few flasks of coffee, pleny of good thick irish sandwiches and a few beers for the old fella, we were off to Saddle Head. This mark was shown to me three years earlier by a reformed alchoholic, who has unfortunately secummed the dreded drink yet again. But it stuck in my memory bank and we were on to a winner once we found it and marked it with the GPS. Now when i found it the first time it was with luck not a GPS. The fishing was exciting, although the catch was mainly pollock and small mackerel. The bigger fish of which we caught plenty, did fight very hard. On board were Skipper and my son Darren, his girlfriend Kathleen, Darrens son and my grandson Damien, A good friend of my sons Marzzy, and yours truly.
