As some of you know, I am deployed right now with the military. I am going through a rough time right now, not being able to fish and all. I am missing the late crappie and muskies in ohio, and not to mention the steelhead run from lake erie.

On a better note, I can fish where I am located. Combat fishing it might be, but it's fishing.

There are some lakes where I am stationed at and they are full of carp, my favorite fish to fish for. It almost seems like home.

There is a fishing tournament coming up, which I will probably dominate. I have all the ingredients readily available for my home made carp bait. I also have access to fishing rods and tackle.

Should be a good time!

In the mean time you guys can check out Baghdad School of Fly Fishing

It's a fishing school or club that was started for deployed troops.

That's pretty cool. I can only imagine it's a welcome diversion, and the smiles on those guys' faces are priceless!

Already been there done that bottom, everyday! Anyway, I didn't get to fish the tourny cause of work. For some reason they would rather have me at work that fishing here, don't know why? Ha, anyway, everything is going good so far, i'll get to fish sometime!
