Car Accident - Fishing Forum | Fishing Tackle | Fishing Gear

I have been asked to post here on behalf of Dave SDD, the day after he returned from Donegal he was involved in a car accident. He was driving, with his girlfriend in the passenger seat. Forunately they both have been very lucky to have come out of this alive, Dave was extracated from the vehicle on a stetcher and taken to hospital, it is believed that he broke a rib, chipped his spine and has serious whiplash bruising and is on heavy medication. His girlfriend maraculously had nothing more than a few bruises. He has asked me to say that it will be some time before he will be well enough to rejoin you all on the site. He has been advised to have complete bed rest for the next week. The accident happened Tuesday when another driver ploughed into them at a junction near to where they live. Dave has asked me to let everyone know that he is determined to get back to fishing as soon as possible. His girlfriend said that he is planning another trip to Donegal, since he recieved a fishing rod and reel from an American Bass shop on the day after they had the accident.

Very sorry to hear that!!! Thankfully they are ok in all of that. They say that most accidents happen 5 miles from your home, unexpectedly (sp).

Glad to hear he is planning on going out fishing again soon. I'll look foreward to the fishing stories to come.

I am sorry to hear that news but thanks for keeping us updated. At least he is healing up and will live to tell the tale. Hope you are feeling better soon SDD, and get back to doing the things you love to do in a short time.
