Default Betta Fish??

What's the average life span of a betta fish? We have had this fish for 2 years now. He doesn't like the regular fish food now because my little brother has been feeding him little pieces of catfish, perch, and chicken. I know this isn't good but he seems to like it and he has been feeding him these things for about a year now. How can I get him back on fish food?

Default Betta Fish??

lifespan depends on care:bowl, cleaned when it gets dirty - 1-2yrbowl, cleaned at least once a week - 3-4yrsfiltered, heated tank - up to 7yrssimple, don't feed him these anymore. if he doesn't eat his food that's okay, scoop it out after a few mins. he won't starve himself, trust me. once he gets hungry enough he'll eat his food again, just stick with it and don't feed him anything but his food. of course he likes it, how would you like eating only cake and chips and candy? lol but it's up to you to do what's best form him because he cna't do it himself.

you could start to mix the foods then slowly stray away from the pieces of catfish perch and chicken.

Default

I had one in just a plain glass bowl for 5 years. My mom had one in a vace with a house plant in it... one of those with no dirt, just the roots, for a little over 10 years...
