I suppose if all the gear in the house was insured, I mite just leave a lot of it and take the basics. A few rods and gear to see you through till the insurance comes thru maybe. I hope most of the good people who have been affected by massive raging fires have been insured and I am glad to hear that most people have escaped with their lives. Property can be replaced, people can't be. Regards SDD

good question! Being a single guy living in a crappy apartment all I would need is A change of cloths and fishing gear! ha ha I probably could fit a change of cloths in the float tube pockets, strap the fins and poles down... its getting kinda chilly up here so I could just wear my waiters! All my tools are loaded in my truck already so I am good to go in under ten minutes! I think the real question is what would your wife/girlfriend make you leave behind? I would pray that she likes fishing just as much as you thats for sure.
