Just got back from another trip to the Keys.
It was kind of a short trip and we didn't get out on a boat at all, but we fished from the dock quite a bit. Here's some of the fishies my daughter caught... ![]() Anybody know what this is? Bright silver with a yellow tail. Its not a yellowtail snapper, I know what those look like... looked like some kind of jack. ![]() Here's a really nice mangrove snapper. By the way, she was fishing with my little spinning reel and 6# line. Lots of structure around the dock. She did really good getting this guy on the dock!! ![]() Pesky little needle fish. If your bait didn't sink fast enough, they'd grab it. They're strictly surface feeders, though, and once you're bait goes down 6 inches or so, they won't go down after it... ![]() By the boat docks in town (Key West) a guy was feeding the tarpon. Nothing for reference here, but these guys were about 4 to 6 feet. Yes... FEET! Should have had my little spinning rod down and play with these bad boys!!
