I'm leaving NJ to go to Alabama today and was wondering what gear i should bring with me? What are the lakes like there (rocky, weedy, clear or merky?) I never been there so any info would be helpful.

well if your fishin new water your prob gonna want to cover a lot of water so i would say take some lip-less cranks(i use rat-l-traps) and some deep diving cranks for mid day/ deep water fishin. Once youve located the fish then you can switch over to soft plastics or jigs.

Default AL Fishing

I would suggest Lake Guntersville, AL. Lot of everything, as the temps cool off, my boogerman buzz baits, poppers and anything else comes out. You always have a shot at a good size fish. Hope this helps.
