best place is to go to walnut creek i hear their running now and i always use wax worms and egg sacks there's a bait store up there it's called "Poor Richard's" Here's How to get to it from walnut creek. Don't use treble hook there illegal to use in the streams best be is to use a size 10 to 14 octapus hook. Best of luck to ya I'll be coming up there soon too but if you get the chance to go before me promise you'll leave a few for me. :-)

Hot Shot and Wiggle Wart lures, Blue Fox Spinners, Lil' Cleo Spoons, Jigs = artificial bait. Night Crawlers, freshly cured Roe (you said ya' already used spawn sacks, but curin' them eggs has a lot ta' do with the bite also). Here's a link that may help. Use this site religiously for others! Good luck and when it comes ta' Steelie's "patience is a virtue", butttttt you hang one ~ I GUARANTEE you will discover what their all about . Good luck and "Fish On" ...http://www.steelheader.net/home/default.shtml
