Default Riverhill 5-31-07

Went out today since it is the first day of summer

Since the big lake was way too murky and hard right now to fish, i decided to hit one of the smaller ponds in the area, and it produced pretty well, although most were dinks. Also caught 2 HUGE perch. All fish were caught on a black lizard t-rigged wieghtless.

Started off with this nice but well spawned out 3 pounder.

here is a series of dinks, but still fun on ultra light tackle and 8 pound test.

heres one of the huge perch

All in all a nice day, wish i coulda had the flyrod but oh well, bass are bass

Yellow Perch:

Green Sunfish:

Note the rounded anal fin and short dorsal.

They are super aggressive and lots of fun on light tackle

Nice catch
That sunfish would be an awesome catch at most of the lakes around here...Usually all small and more annoying than anything, but when you get a good size one they are great eatin
