Fished the Mighty Lake Towhee with Jake, the Towhee King. Weather was bright and sunny, north wind about 7-10 knots and the water was stained. The weeds and pads have made great strides in the past week, most of the available shoreline is covered.

I opened a new Spro frog type bait that I purchased last winter and that has been sitting in my pile of tackle waiting for some good, thick cover. After about 7 casts, this decent LM Bass exploded out of the weeds bed to inhale the bait and about three pounds of weeds:



We were joined by another friend and on his third cast he hooked a nice Pickerel. I followed his lead and tossed to the same area, pulling in this little guy:



The bite slowed after that with only a few more very small bass. We moved to another nearby pond and immediately hooked into pint size bass - the big girls were not interested in anything we threw.



Finished out the day in the pouring rain. I am going out today as soon as I am done work to try again
