Default No Carp - Just Bass

Went out yesterday morning for a few hours to do some combination carp and bass fishing. Caught this fatty while waiting for the carp to start to feed (they never did).

Bait was a 5.5 inch PC Baits Coffee Worm

Going for Smallies today

i think corn is the best bait.just chum with a few handfuls and cast in the middle of it.i know it works cause it caught me the nj carp state record in 95.

We chummed with field corn (boiled into a bait mix - about 5 gallons) and use sweet corn for bait. No PVA bags this time becuase we were both to lazy.

Born always works great - sweet corn for bait and chum with hard corn.

That is awesome, so you are Billy?

47 lb carp - nice. tell us about it? What rod, reel and line did you use. Did it fight?

Did you get anything for the record - sponsorships or the like?

My biggest carp is a 35 pound common, and a 30 pound grass carp. Ill try corn, but nothing ever works out there.

I use to catch them when I was kid using bread or homemade doughballs which included Jello powder and anise. There was deli that gave us 75 cents a pound for them so when ever we were jonesing for cash we'd go carp fishing.
