These are from our first ever 2 trips for rainbow trout. We used 1/124 oz. jigs in several colors.

Very nice rainbows, what river were you fishing?

It is a small river 1 hour north of San Antonio called the Blanco River.

Did you get those from a river? Was fishing up in Donegal (Ireland) at the weekend and caught some rainbows most of which where around the four pound mark, but they were stockies. Fish that have been bred for particular lakes.

What city is that near? I would love to catch some rainbows, and thats probably not far from me as i am 1 hour NW of SA.

I fish the Blanco all the time almost every day actually. I have a trot line I just set out on there just did it 2days ago but have never had much luck with anything other than perch and very small bass. What bait did you use when you caught these and what month?
