Default Overhead Reels...

Can I get some advice on casting them?

I just got a Penn Kimberly overhead, it is on my Shakespeare boat rod.

I try to cast and it doesn't even go out a meter (about 2ft)

I think it may be too tight, I can hold it over the edge of the jetty and it takes about 3min for the sinker to hit the water...

But I don't know how to loosen it, I really have no idea I am used to spinning reels...

Any pointers?

Thanks.
