Hey everyone,
Just came across the forum here tonight. Looks like a great community! I have a question for everyone- I am not sure if this is the right place to post this (mod- if not, shoot me a PM) but I want to ask a question to everyone here. If you had to list only 5 fishing locations- locations that you have either fished, our would like to fish, what would they be? You could list something as general as 'Alaska' or get a little more specific, like 'Kenai River for salmon'. I am trying to see what locations are on the minds of fisherman everywhere. The reason is I am building out a service which offers discounts to fishing trips worldwide. Not sure if it is against TOS to post a link, so I wont, but your answers will help me to add more trips to our growing list. Thanks everyone! Evan |

Interesting question... if money was no object...
1. Fiji - I've been there twice and had some great fishing experiences. 2. Mexico - All kinds of options there, from sportboats out of San Diego, to going to Cabo or PV and chartering a boat. 3. Hawaii - Fished there a few times, I never seem to hit the right time of year, though. 4. Southern California, Channel Islands - I love fishing San Clemente Island, Santa Barbara Island, and Catalina... in that order. Some awesome local fishing here, and I'm out almost every weekend in the summer! 5. Alaska - Been there a couple of times. I'd like to try some of the other areas...!

Thanks for the reply- I appreciate it!
I have been fortunate enough to find out about some little known areas that have some excellent fishing as I have been doing my research and I always love to hear about more! Thanks again- anyone else like to add their input? Evan |

Very interestig question. I guess my five destinations if I had the time/money to travel to them would be
1. Southern California - There's just so many options in terms of what and where to fish for. 2. Mexico/Baja - Everything from big rockfish at Colonett to giant cow tuna's at the Hurricane Bank. And don't forget Guadalupe island, Cedros, Alijos Rock's, etc. 3. Alaska/Canada - Some of the world's best Salmon, halibut, ling cod fishing anywhere, plus the view alone is sometimes worth the trip. I have to go there one of these day's. 4. New Zealand - Always heard there some fantastic fishing there. Would love to visit it. 5. Australia - Just like New Zealand I hear there's some fantastic fishing done there too. |

New Zealand... nice! I too have always wanted to check out the fishing. I hear there is some world class brown trout fishing that would be a blast!
Also, for anyone reading... if you are looking to book a trip here soon or in the near future and still havent gotten the details down, let me know where you want to go. We are going to be posting some deals that we already have established here soon and I would love to help someone out here save a few bucks. Could be a guide, lodge, resort- whatever you are looking for. Thanks again for the responses! Evan |
