Checking the Knot you have tied :

This tip is for any kind of fishing you do ...
thou it originated for Trouter's ....

Heres what you do ....

After you retrieve your cast take your Hook (or lure) and hook it on your jackets metal rigs (a beltloop will work just as well) .... after placing the hook give it a quick tug .... if your knot is weak it will break right off ... if it has damage you will see it better and you can fix it before that next cast ....

if your fishing near structure you will want to check this often ...

who knows that next cast may land that Big one ... and you wanna be ready for him /her .... Good Luck
