WD 40 has many uses heres one more :
If you happen to have a problem with Bugs crawling up your Outboard Motors water outlet .... and clogging the Exhaust ..... Heres a little tip that will keep them Buggies away for good .... Spraying a little WD 40 into the Water outlet every few weeks will keep Buggies away ..... So theres no more Clogged Exhausts .... pretty kool huh .... mike |

Do not spray this stuff anywhere it can end up in the water - it is 100% petroleum and is highly pollutant! I contacted the WD-40 company and they confirmed that it is illegal to release this into any body of water.

I have heard it mentioned in loads of places and seen it used on lures and bait - it does work, but is not safe in the environment. If you want something like that, get some bunker oil or shedder crab oil (or there is even crayfish oil) that stuff all works better anyway!
Sorry Fwc, I was not saying you used it, just my standard reply - I hate pollution it realy will ruin the fishing! |

We've got tons of different scents up here in the Northwest, mostly for fishing Salmon. Just about every flavor you can think of.
My personal favorite is Herring Smelly Jelly. Works great when you are trolling, and isn't messy. |
