Default high end Fishing Sunglasses ?

are they really that good ?

I have never had a set .... i normally pick up a set of Glasses when I need them .... the set im using now is made by Strike King that have Amber lenses
and side gaurds .... these Glasses are much better than my last set of Strike King Glasses .... I am curious thou how much better the Higher teir glasses are such as Solar Bat , Costa del Mar , etc .....

If you have a set can you post a reply , thanks in advance

In my experience there definitely is a difference in quality between the $20 ones at the outdoor stores and the $120 ones with real glass lenses. That being said though, unless you are doing a lot of sight fishing, or needing to see the bottom, I am not sure that it is worth the money to get really good ones.

I use Costa Del Mars, and polarized Oakleys. There is a definite difference between the brands I use and cheaper Solar Bats or Strike King lenses. Solar Bat's have put alot of strain on my eyes and given me headaches in the past when I first started using them, but once I upgraded to Oakley, and Costa Del Mars, its been a whole new world. I'll never go back!! Huge difference! You and your eyesight wont regret the investment. Just take care of them and youre good to go. Ive had my Costas goin on 9 years now and my Oakleys for over 5, and I fish at least 3 days a week. If you're responsible and take care of your stuff, they'll last as long as you need them to.

I do not use high end sunglasses as I am rough on everything and especially sunglasses. I like the $20.00 type or less - so long as they are clear and dark with decent polarization they do me fine.

I have tried a few of the better ones and there is a difference, just not enough to warrant me shelling out the big bucks

Yup. I just loose them or break them.

I get the cheapest polarized and UV ones I can find.

I buy 100% polarized cheap(under $25) sunglasses and they work fine. I have put on a pair of oakleys once and they were nice but I wouldnt pay that much for a pair of sunglasses. There is to high of a risk of losing them or breaking them.
