Default Fished in the bay this weekend

I went to the beach(ocean city Md) for the weekend with a few friends and there was no way i was leaving my pole at home. I was going to fish off the beach however a friend of one of the guys with me had a place that was right on the bay so thats where I fished. Went to a local tackle shop they sold me the squid again, (they always tell me squid will catch fish but it never does) We fished at night with a light off his porch that brought in a bunch of bait fish. The neighbors however had a brighter light and the fish kept jumping right by there light. Fished with squid for two to three hours catching one small sea bass. I could see the fish smashing bait fish so we tryed to rig up a minnow trap with no luck. Eventualy I looked thru my box and found a salt water rat-L-trap, in classic salt water color red head and white back. after a few casts of pulling it thru the neighbors light i hooked a small blue about a foot long he gave a nice fight and was a good way to end a rather uneventful night, the next night i used the same rat-l-trap again and caught about a 25 inch rock fish, fishing was slow but that rat-l-trap def saved my trip from being a bust
