Default Fresh Vs. Saltwater fishing?

I am a recreational angler who usually fishes for bluegill, perch, and bass in a small lake in West Michigan. This spring, for spring break, I am going to the bahamas, and where I am staying (Hope Town, the Abacos) I heard has excellent fishing from the dock. I have no idea how this type of fishing might differ from my usually area. I need a guide or website or just an answer that can explain differences in bait, tackle, methods, etc, and the size of fish I might be catching.

I have been to the area you are going to visit. I have listed a website below that gives you information on Fishing in the Abaco area. I would personally recommend Elbow Cay as one of the fishing hot spots in the Abaco area.. www.beautifulbahamas.com/ fishing.htm
