Thread: In Search of the CD 22 Purple MAC by RAPALA

To all the Fishing Gods of DIGEO Garcia,

I felt like Angus from Summer Rental (CIRCA 1985) when John Candy sent him off to find a monstrous sail for the sailing vessel / fish restaurant " Barnacle "prior to the yacht race. I searched high and low thru-out 22 different tackle shops, 4 Wal-Mart’s, 2 Kmart’s, and 1 Bass Pro Shops from Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Suffolk and Yorktown, Virginal Beach. After getting directions to the 21st tackle shop with good lead that the owner had a couple in the back in store. Enroute to the next shop I saw West marine not known in this area for a lot of fishing tackle mostly rigging and sailing/ docking gear. There it was the Holy Grail of Fishing Lures AGHHHAAAAAAAAA the CD 22 Purple MAC Rapala with it dusty tattered packaging and faded sales sticker form 1990. This metal tongue devil was not alone, it had a twin directly behind on the sales rack. I picked them both up and ran to registrar and paid for this ultimate find of big game lures.

The Mission is now complete and I am ready for assignment transfer.
