Smile Steelhead coming in the rivers

I have heard reports of steelhead shooting into the rivers a night, and going back out in the day time. Guys have been trying their luck already.

I like to wait till the end of october to really start and hit the rivers, there is a chance right now though to get an early season steel.

They are indeed coming but if you dont want to wait until they have roots in the river grab as many 2/5 lil cleos as you can and hit the lake. Lure: 2/5 lil cleo silver/blue, silver/green, silver/pink
    technique: cast ya ass off!
results: a few lead fish...BIG leaders.
location: 72nd big horse shoe, wildwood west wall, 55th pier
good luck cuz youll need it

Yep, iv'e casted in the past. It's a lot of fun cause they slam the cleo's so hard they almost rip the rod outa your hand. The long wall in fairport is perfect for casting, lot's of room and very neighborly fisherman there. This year, I have a 14 foot deep V that I plan on taking to the rock to troll, probably the V also.

I haven't either but would love to. If anyone has any spots they are willing to give up to a newbie... would deeply appreciate it. Grew up in colorado catching rainbowand kohkene salmon and would love to get back into it.

The rivers are beginning to lock up with ice now. We will need a warmup for the rivers to open back up again.

Till then, it's ice fishing time.......

Hey, wild, are you from the olivesburg near Mansfield?
